ART DOCENT

The LWES Art Docent Program is a nonprofit program that serves the 950+ students who attend Lake Wilderness Elementary School and affiliated preschool program. It was conceived to provide students with additional art education and a way for them to explore their creative intellect. The program is supported through training and lessons created just for LWES, with a modern set of lessons and projects tailored to our school to make it easy for volunteers to teach in the classroom. We are actively seeking more volunteers for this program!  For more information, email artdocent@lwptsa.org.

FAMILY NIGHTS

This program is LW PTSA's way to bring students and their families together for fun activities, whether for special occasions (Trunk or Treat, Harvest Party, and Holiday Breakfast) or just for the fun of it (Skate Night, Movie Night, etc.)! For more information, email events@lwptsa.org.

PLAYGROUND PALS

A Playground Pal is an adult who volunteers to hang out on the playground and engage with the students from 11:30am-1:30pm on Fridays throughout the year. Your focus will be to encourage positive behavior and experiences during this time.

If you have additional questions, please email Playgroundpals@lwptsa.org

PRRR! READING

The PRRR (Prepare, Read, Record, Reward) Reading Program seeks to encourage students to get reading! This involves completing logs and turning them in each month. If students read for a full 6 months, they're invited to a special event before the end of the school year! If you haven't gotten a reading log, print our  generic one. For more information visit our PRRR page. For more information, email read@lwptsa.org

REFLECTIONS

An annual art competition held in the Fall, where students submit their creations in up to six categories (dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts) and have a chance to move on to State! For more information email reflections@lwptsa.org

SCIENCE FAIR

Held in the Spring, this is a great event for your little scientist to put their brains and beakers to work! All students are encouraged to participate in this great program by working on a science project at home and displaying it proudly at the LW PTSA Science Fair for the world to see. For more information, email science@lwptsa.org

SNACK SHACK

The Wildcat Snack Shack will be open for business during morning recess on the last Friday of each month, starting Friday, October 28th!  Students will be able to purchase ONE pre-packaged snack for $0.25 or one Snack Shack coupon.  PTSA teacher members will be provided with coupons for use as prizes/incentives, and sheets of coupons are also available to purchase for $2.00.

STAFF APPRECIATION

Every day one whole week in May each year, LW PTSA celebrates our teachers and staff with a fun theme. Students are encouraged to get involved too! For more information, email hospitality@lwptsa.org
