Nominations at next General Membership Meeting

Lake Wilderness PTSA will be taking nominations from the floor at the next General Meeting, Thursday, June 14th at 6:30pm, for Vice President of Wildcat Cash.

finger pointWe are looking for parents who want to become involved with their child’s elementary school experience. Meet new friends, keep your business skills up-to-date, and/or gain some experience for your resume. Whatever your reason, we can’t do it without YOU!

If you want to pair up with a friend, all positions are open to co-chairs. So, buddy up or come alone, we will welcome you with open arms!

OPEN BOARD OF DIRECTOR POSITIONS:

VP Wildcat Cash (PTA Workshop Required)
Be in charge of selling and keeping inventory of gift cards for the school’s Wild Cat Cash program. Be available or assign a volunteer to sell gift cards at the booth every Tuesday and Friday mornings. Must attend monthly meetings.

Co-Membership
Recruit individuals who are excited about PTA and represent the demographics of the school community, including fa­thers, teachers, students and particularly those who are new to the school. Must attend monthly meetings.

Volunteer Coordinator
Keep track of, recruit, and assemble teams of volunteers for projects, events, and functions that the PTSA are involved in. Must attend monthly meetings.

Family Nights
Organize fun after school functions and events throughout the year. These events include the Holiday Breakfast and the Harvest Party.

OPEN COMMITTEE CHAIR POSITIONS:

Harvest Party (coordinate with Family Nights)
Organize Fall celebration at the end of October. Set up games, favors, and decorations for the party and organize volunteers.

Holiday Breakfast (coordinate with Family Nights)
Organize Holiday celebration at the end of December. Coordinate decoration, food prep and serving volunteers.

Missoula Children’s Theater
Liaise with tour directors and school, advertise event, collect permission slips, make playbill. Must be present after school during rehearsals and day of show.

Movie Nights (coordinate with Family Nights)
Organize 2-3 movie nights per year at the school gym.

Popcorn Fridays
Sell popcorn and treats every Friday morning during recess. Keep inventory and make necessary purchases. Maintain and clean popcorn machine.

Reflections
Promote reflections contest, encourage student participation, send entries to State Reflections Chair, coordinate small reception for all reflections participants. Reflections contest runs September—December.

Skate Nights (coordinate with Family Nights)
Organize 2-3 skate nights per year to be held at the Auburn Skate Connection (or another location to be determined).
