The PRRR (Prepare, Read, Record, Reward) Reading Program seeks to encourage students to get reading! This involves completing logs and turning them in each month. If students read for a full 6 months, they're invited to a special event before the end of the school year! If you haven't gotten a reading log, print our generic one. For more information visit our PRRR page. For more information, email email@example.com.
An annual art competition held in the Fall, where students submit their creations in up to six categories (dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts) and have a chance to move on to State! For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Held in the Spring, this is a great event for your little scientist to put their brains and beakers to work! All students are encouraged to participate in this great program by working on a science project at home and displaying it proudly at the LW PTSA Science Fair for the world to see. For more information, email email@example.com.
Every day one whole week in May each year, LW PTSA celebrates our teachers and staff with a fun theme. Students are encouraged to get involved too! For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The LWES Art Docent Program is a nonprofit program that serves the 750+ students who attend Lake Wilderness Elementary School. It was conceived to provide students with additional art education. This program is LW PTSA's way to bring students and their families together for fun activities, whether for special occasions (Harvest Party and Holiday Breakfast) or just for the fun of it (Skate Night, Movie Night, etc.)! For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a K-12 program that makes it easy for fathers (or father figures) to spend meaningful time with their children in a school setting.
Volunteers are asked to spend at least one day supporting students and being a positive male role model through: monitoring school property, helping with bus duty and greeting students as they arrive, working one-on-one or in small groups, reading, assisting with assignments, lunch, refereeing games, listening ears, and other student related needs.
Almost every Friday during the school year, students are offered the chance to purchase popcorn (and other tasty treats) during 1st recess. We also host popcorn at special PTSA events like Movie Nights! For more information, email email@example.com.
