Our Mission: Lake Wilderness Elementary Parent Teacher Student Association encourages life-long learners. A collaboration of parents, teachers and students supporting the academic, social and physical health of our school community.

Please join us for a General Membership Meeting in Library A on Thursday, February 9th at 12pm. Light refreshments served and current issues discussed. We'd love to hear your voice as a parent/staff member of LWES.

Lake Wilderness PTSA presents Skate Night on Wednesday, February 15th, 6-8 pm, Cost: FREE. Auburn Skate Connection is located at 1825 Howard Road, Auburn, Washington (253) 833-4990.



A big congratulations to all students who participated in the Reflections program! We had an amazing 135 entries this year. Our students demonstrated wonderful creativity.

All participants are invited to the Reflections Celebration (due to weather, the event date will be changed - check back here for confirmation) where they will receive a personal written comment from their judge, a certificate, and their prizes: certificates for a free ice cream cone from Dairy Queen, a free kids meal from Red Robin, and a free personal pizza from Frankie’s Pizza. They will also have the opportunity to hear a youth rock band, a youth symphony group, book readings, participate in a dance instruction workshop, and do a number of fun activities with professional artists.

The entries were judged by expert judges in each category. There are 8 grand prize winners whose entries will advance to the state competition. These students will receive an amazing prize package from our generous sponsors:

• 1 month of free dance lessons at Dance Expressions
• 4 free bounces at Bounce it Up
• 2 free classes for you and a friend at Phillips TaeKwonDo Center
• A free photography portrait session and online gallery from Photography by Nicolette
• A free 2-hour art lesson workshop from artist and instructor Lydia Sutton
• $25 gift card to The Little Gym (Renton or Federal Way) (grades k-2)
• 1 week of free swimming lessons from Kinderswimmer (grades k-2)
• 1 month of free music lessons from Dace’s Rock ‘n’ More Music Academy (grades 3-5)

All students are encouraged to start thinking about projects for the 2012 Lake Wilderness Elementary Science Fair. All grade levels can participate and registration will begin soon.
