artistically?

The Reflections Program is a
long-running national arts competition designed to celebrate
children exploring their creative and artistic talents. Each
year, students are challenged to create original works of
art which reflect the current theme in some way.
The 2011-2012 theme is “Diversity means ...”
All students who enter will be recognized and
celebrated at an awards banquet in January! Winners will
receive prizes and advance to the state level.
All entries require a
completed
entry form. For entries which include a recognizable
image or voice, please also complete a
consent form. Deadline is
December 16th.
Please take a look at the

Get Ready for the 2012 LWES Science Fair!
All students are
encouraged to start thinking about projects for the 2012 Lake Wilderness
Elementary Science Fair. All grade levels can participate and
registration will begin in January.
The 2012 Fair will held on a
school day in early March. Each student will be given time to set up
their projects before the end of the school day on the day of the fair.
After the students leave, the judges will evaluate each project.
Students and their families are then invited back to school that night
for a brief open house to show off their hard work and all who
participate will be recognized at a brief ceremony at the conclusion of
the fair. Additional special "Judges Choice" awards will be given for
the most popular projects.
Entry forms, rules, and more
information will be coming in January so stay tuned! Parents interested
in being a judge please contact one of the organizers listed below.
